Hailing from a normal Marathi speaking household in the holy city of Nashik, we moved to Mumbai during my childhood days. Born and brought up in a joint family living in an open neighborhood, where all doors of my neighbors were always welcoming, I grew up in an environment where the residents were from a humble background but not highly educated. and were from humble backgrounds. This did not stop them from organizing sports activities in the buildings’ courtyard at any given opportunity. My involvement in all such occasions imbibed in me important life skills such as team coordination and communication very early on, along with an interest and aptitude for sports like Chess and Cricket. Despite living in an area where education was not given much importance, I always had a curiosity for learning, and a passion for striving to be the best which ultimately led me to achieve the top rank in my school's SSC Exams. Apart from academics, my school also encouraged participation in extracurricular activities. Due to my interest and talent in Chess, I won the 1st prize in our inter school Chess competition.

My interest in the field of technology and application of scientific principles, made me opt for engineering as the most suitable career domain for me after completing my secondary education. The booming IT industry further encouraged me to pursue my B.E. in Computer Engineering from the Thakur College of Engineering & Technology, Mumbai. Besides, achieving first class grades in academics, I also clinched the first prize for an Inter college Chess competition held at the VJTI campus.

The years of studying engineering concepts had kindled a new desire in my heart to be a teacher. After graduating with my B.E degree, I underwent a new phase in life when I first go the opportunity to associate myself with VIT. Along with teaching students at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology, I reinforced my belief in the fact that teaching and learning go hand in hand, when I completed my masters from the Institute. The fourteen years of teaching a wide variety of subjects at this institute and my role as a project guide for BE students ensured that I never get a chance on repenting for joining the teaching profession.

Over the years, I have also realized that an important part of teaching is the willingness to learn. The world is constantly evolving, with new technologies emerging, and old ones becoming obsolete. With an attitude to learn and relearn, a teacher can understand the student fraternity.
